The Jaipur Foot is a remarkable prosthetic limb that plays a pivotal role in restoring mobility and independence to individuals with lower limb amputations, especially in resource-constrained settings. This paper embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the materials employed in the construction of the Jaipur Foot, delving into their mechanical properties. By synthesising a range of scientific articles, including studies utilising finite element analysis, clinical evaluations, and material-specific investigations, this review endeavours to offer profound insights into the meticulous selection and optimization of materials for the Jaipur Foot. The primary objective of this review is to make substantial contributions to the ongoing development of highly efficient and cost-effective prosthetic devices, thus uplifting the lives of individuals in need.ms_IN
