Asglobal demand for aquaticproductscontinues torise, thedevelopmentandapplicationofefficientbreedingtechnologieshave becomeincreasinglyessential.Advances inreproductivebiology,geneticselection,hormonal induction,and larval rearingtechniqueshavesignificantlyimprovedthesuccessofcaptivebreedingprogramsforbothfinfish andshellfishspecies.Theseinnovationsnotonlyfacilitateyear-roundseedproductionbutalsosupport the creationof improvedstrainswithdesirabletraitssuchasfastergrowth,higherdiseaseresistance,andbetter feedutilization.Moreover, theintegrationofmolecularandbiotechnological toolshasexpandedopportunities forselectivebreeding,conservation,andsustainableaquaculturedevelopment. |
