Abstract: The article presents the tests performed to determine the operating parameters and welding conditions for the S355JR structural steel using the Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) method. The tests were carried out on samples made of S355JR steel after welding performed in accordance with the PN-EN 15614 standard. The work analyzed the depth of penetration of the welding arc depending on various welding parameters of the tested samples. For the obtained results linear energy was calculated for the given welding parameters.
