Business and Professional ETH CS FOR DIRECTORS, EXECUTIVES & ACCOUNTANTS

Title: Business and Professional ETH CS FOR DIRECTORS, EXECUTIVES & ACCOUNTANTS
Authors: LEONARD J. BROOKS, PAUL DUNN
Abstract: Expectations for appropriate business and professional accounting behavior have changed dramatically. Corporations now face an era of heightened accountability beyond
shareholders to stakeholders who are intently interested in how corporations achieve
their objectives, not just what they achieve. The challenge is to make a profit ethically
while respecting the interests of others including the environment, human rights, and
contributing positively to society. Opportunities abound for those who face these challenges successfully. More is also expected of professional accountants, who are expected
more than ever to serve society’s best interests in increasingly complex and challenging
business environments

Programming Arduino™ Getting Started with Sketches

Title: Programming Arduino™ Getting Started with Sketches
Authors: Simon Monk
Abstract: The first edition of this book was published in November 2011 and has been
Amazon’s highest ranking book on Arduino.
At the time the book was originally written, the current Arduino model was the
Arduino 2009 and the software version was Beta018. Almost at the time the book
arrived in stores, the Arduino Uno and version 1.0 of the Arduino software were
released. Soon after, the second printing of the book had a minor update to cover the
new board and software without formally being a second edition. This edition brings
the book fully up to date and is based on Arduino 1.6.

Getting Started with Arduino

Title: Getting Started with Arduino
Authors: Massimo Banzi, Michael Shiloh
Abstract: The third edition of Getting Started with Arduino adds two new
chapters: Chapter 8 is an ambitious project, which illustrates a
more complex circuit and program. This chapter also talks
about project design, testing, and construction, and makes use
of schematic diagrams, which were (and still are) described in
Appendix D.
The second chapter, Chapter 6, introduces the Arduino Leonardo. The Leonardo is a di erent sort of Arduino, because the
USB controller is implemented in software, and not in a separate
chip as had been the case prior to the Leonardo. This allows the
USB behaviour of the board to be modified

The Facility Manager’s Emergency Preparedness

Title: The Facility Manager’s Emergency Preparedness
Authors: Bernard T. Lewis, Richard P. Payant
Abstract: Following September 11, 2001, most facility managers and their companies
and agencies have developed a special intensity in their emergency preparedness efforts. Other facility managers may have been more motivated by the
preparations required by the approach to Y2K. The crisis on September 11
and Y2K followed completely different scenarios, but both cried out for
comprehensive emergency preparedness management, and each actively involved facility managers. It is indisputable that no facility manager can ignore
emergency preparedness
