Abstract: This Self-Assessment Report (SAR) has been prepared for the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering programme offered by Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PSA). The report serves as a comprehensive document to demonstrate the programme’s commitment towards academic excellence, continuous quality improvement, and compliance with the standards and requirements established by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC), Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The preparation of this report involved the collective efforts and collaboration of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, academic staff, management team, industry partners, students, alumni, and supporting personnel. The report highlights various aspects of the programme, including curriculum development, teaching and learning processes, facilities, student achievements, industry collaborations, quality management systems, and continuous improvement initiatives that support the development of competent and industry-ready graduates. This SAR reflects PSA’s aspiration to remain a leading TVET institution that is responsive to technological advancements and industrial needs, particularly in the field of industrial packaging and mechanical engineering. It is hoped that this report will provide clear evidence of the programme’s strengths, achievements, and future direction in producing holistic, skilled, and competitive graduates who are able to contribute effectively to the nation’s industrial and economic development. The Department of Mechanical Engineering would like to express its sincere appreciation to all individuals and organizations who have contributed directly and indirectly towards the successful preparation of this report.</description>

The successful completion of this module is a testament to the dedication of the students and the invaluable mentorship of our lecturers, Raazizah binti Haji Hussain, En. Azhan Zaki and En. Razli. Their expertise has bridged the gap between digital theory and practical timber engineering. This guide explores both direct and non-direct applications of CAD. Direct applications involve the precise 3D modeling of furniture components and joinery, while non-direct applications include generating Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation essential for wood manufacturing workflows. By mastering these tools, students are now equipped to transform conceptual wood designs into professional-grade production data, ensuring they remain competitive in the modern woodworking industry.</description>

Abstract: Dokumen Garis Panduan Permohonan Dana Inovasi CMET ini disediakan sebagai rujukan rasmi kepada warga Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PSA) dalam mengurus permohonan dana berkaitan penyelidikan dan inovasi dalam bidang Elektronik Perubatan. Garis panduan ini merangkumi syarat kelayakan pemohon, skop pembiayaan, had peruntukan, serta tatacara permohonan, penilaian dan tuntutan dana. Selain itu, dokumen ini turut menjelaskan peranan dan tanggungjawab pihak terlibat, termasuk pemohon, urusetia CMET dan Unit Kewangan, bagi memastikan pengurusan dana yang telus dan berintegriti. Empat kategori utama pembiayaan yang ditawarkan ialah penerbitan jurnal, pembentangan persidangan, penyertaan pertandingan inovasi dan perlindungan harta intelek. Dengan adanya garis panduan ini, diharapkan proses pengurusan dana inovasi dapat dilaksanakan secara sistematik, efisien serta menyokong penghasilan penyelidikan dan inovasi berimpak tinggi selaras dengan agenda TVET negara dan aspirasi institusi.</description>
