Title: An Alternative for Vapor Compression Refrigerator by Using Peltier Element
Authors: Syafiqah Akino Binti Sarin, Andrian Bin Jose Ling; John Anderson Bin Joslin, Sherry Nazeera Binti Janche; Nurfazila Binti Jali
Abstract: This project investigates the use of Peltier elements as an alternative to traditional vapor compression refrigeration systems. Vapor compression systems, while widely used, rely on refrigerants that can have negative environmental impacts.
Description: This project explores an alternative method for vapor compression refrigeration systems by utilizing Peltier elements. Conducted by final-year students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politeknik Mukah, the study aims to evaluate the feasibility, efficiency, and practicality of thermoelectric cooling as a sustainable refrigeration solution. Session: December 2016.

Title: Abrication Of End Quench Machine
Authors: Haziq Hazman Bin Bujang; Wan Azri Izzuddin Bin Wan Abdul Kadir; Leonard Anak Lembat; Jason Jhowen Anak Johnsonly; Mohd Anas Bin Mohd Dollah
Abstract: Hardenability is an ability of a material to harden in specific depth by using heat treatment until it form martensite on cooling process to achieve specific hardness. (Taufiq Rokhman).

A machine named Fabrication of End Quench Machine was planned with the concept of Jominy Test (Van Black, 1991). This machine will combine the end quench machine with a furnace beside it. Jominy Test is the method used to measure the hardenability of a metal. which is a measure of the capacity of steel to harden in depth. Furnace is a tool used for heating the metal in high temperature. Our objective for this project are to the end quench machine, doing fabrication on the end quench machine and able to do study on the end quench machine. After doing the test run, it need for about an hour for the metal to be heated until it turns to red or orange in colour. Then, we will cool it until it is fully cold or achieve the room temperature. For the conclusion, we are able to come up with a suitable design for our machine and able to do study on it.

Title: Green Tech Oil Filter
Authors: Mc Clair Nanang anak Freddy; Davidson anak Vincent; Dato Mohd Kamal bin Eddy; Dorothea Lungan Kalib; Florence Nara anak Kenap
Abstract: This project applied the observations based on interviews about the existing oil filter in PMU. The objective of this project is to design and produce the oil filter system for use in canteens and cafes only. This product to solve some of the problems arising from the use of an existing filter. Such as an unpleasant smell and it’s need to clean it every day. The overall project is to use stainless steel for the body and is powered by 0.37 kilo watt motor to drive the shaft. The result after test run of which has been carried out, the project is able to separate oil 58ml within one minute. An increase of 50% compared to existing filters.
